Current Skincare Routine
I've only really gotten into skincare in the last year or so. Before that I was quite happy to use any high street face wash or moisturiser even if they didn't do anything for my skin.
I'm still not really sure what skin type I have. I like to call it temperamental and suspect it would be ten times better if I had a much healthier diet! My face tends to hate being washed and having a contact with water makes it feel dry, tight and uncomfortable, but I'm one of those people that need to use water for my face to feel clean. I have blocked pores on my nose, forehead and chin, with noticeable pores on my cheeks. I'm not especially spotty just a few on my chin at 'that' time of the month.
I'm still trying out products so only a couple of these mentioned are definite holy grail products.
In the morning I wash my face with Philosophy Purity facewash. It does make my face feel clean but unfortunately leaves it feeling a bit tight - I doubt I'll be repurchasing it.
I follow with Elemis Soothing Apricot Toner- it's not cheap but smells amazing and soothes my skin so much. It's definitely a HG product. I then use the Estee Lauder Pore Refining Serum another product which smells sooo good but I'm not sure if it's made any difference to my skin. I use Liz Earle's Moisturiser for Dry/Sensitive skin (don't have any opinions on this cream either way yet - its pretty new). Finally I use Origins Ginzing eyecream - lovely and really does brighten under the eyes.
At nighttime I usually use Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser which surprise surprise I absolutely love. It's one of the few cleansers that I've used that doesn't leave skin feeling incredibly tight. I then follow with my Elemis toner and Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair. I've been using this for about two months and thought I would see a dramatic difference with my skin - I haven't but I still feel I'm doing my skin good by using it. I use my Liz Earle moisturiser at night too. Eye cream wise I'm using a sample of the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair cream and so far it's fine.
Wow what a long first post - if anyone has any ideas for what to use on my temperamental skin I would love to hear them!
